Disneyland!

As I drove Andy to the airport (since I was coming a few days later), Andy happened to mention that he thought Disneyland would be a fun activity to do. In the past weeks when I spoke with people about going to California they all asked if we would do Disney. I assured them we weren't interested since both of us had done DisneyWorld a few times as children and we couldn't imagine doing a Disney Park without our child. When he mentioned it and I heard the excitement in his voice I thought- yeah, that could be lots of fun. Our first full married summer we bought season passes to Six Flags in NJ. It was a great summer and I was sure another theme park would bring back memories!

We were able to enjoy the first "remodeled" parade. They didn't have the light show, but instead had sort of a dance party (see video at bottom). I made sure to take lots of pics for A. because she is obsessed with Mickey Mouse! I was a little nervous if she would be mad at us for going to Mickey's House!

One of the first rides we went on was Space Mountain. I think I went on it as a kid and closed my eyes the entire time. This was an awesome ride and perhaps one of my favorites! The line wasnt too bad since we got to the park when it opened. (I also included this pic so you could see the guys funky backpack- it looks like Yoda!)

I took lots of pics on a "jungle cruise" because I knew A. would think it was the coolest thing ever! We look forward to seeing her experience Disney some day!

For supper we "escaped" and went to Downtown Disney. This is a free area near the two parks that has great restaurants and shops. We did an early dinner so we could beat the crowds and have a moment to relax. We decided to go to the Jazz Kitchen. The food was AMAZING! The only problem was when we returned to the park we realized we had done about as many rides as we wanted and the crowds made us dread waiting in lines.
Before we left, I was able to get in two more pictures. I love the top one with the balloons and recognized that as a perfect picture when we walked into the park. The one below I think is cool because you can see the castle, Mickey Mouse with Disney, and us!

Here is a video clip of Mickey and Minnie dancing.
