Nesting- Getting our son's bed ready

So many blog updates. Either our life is exciting or I have more time because its Spring Break!

His bed is ready! I bought a crib from a friend today. It took about 30 min to put it together- the most complicated piece was the side the raises and lowers. I just COULD NOT get it to fit in. Thankfully Andy came and rescued me. A.'s crib did not make it to Wisconsin unbroken and I just couldnt put a newborn in it. My friend from TX sent me her bedding and I just love it- it is adorable and yet the colors are so subtle. It is white, pale yellow, light green, and pale blue. It goes really well with the green walls. Currently the one side is lowered and I just have the bumpers on three sides- that will change once he starts moving around more!

Mobile and showing the details on the bumper pads.

A. is extremely excited and though she still calls it HER room, she also seems to be thrilled that he gets to sleep in HER room. Hopefully with time she will begin thinking of it as OUR room!

Little Boy Baker continues to move move move in my tummy. At my doctor appointment on Monday the doctor surprised me by saying I am currently 1 cm dilated and have 50% effacement. Of course that does not mean anything in terms of a delivery date except that we are getting there! He is still head down and probably wont be turning on me. It is my hope that he comes as close to the due date as possible- but only he and HE are in control of that. I have been feeling very well. Yesterday I felt more exhausted that usual but I did have some errands to run and the dr appt. The most annoying thing I am experiencing is that as I walk, occasionally I will feel that I am about to fall over because my legs are going to fall off. I guess this is because my bones are softening or something to make delivery easier- but it is not the most pleasant feeling. I do not remember this feeling with A. I find that for a time I am extremely patient and cheerful, and then suddenly I just get crabby. I do not intend to be grumpy and hope Andy and A. are understanding.

Okay Son- the room is ready, your clothes are ready, the stroller is ready. We still need to install the carseat. Your sister thinks she is ready and Mommy and Daddy are ready for your arrival. With the due date being April 22, I figure you could arrive any day- but probably between 17-30 days! We love you and can't wait to hold you!
