Spring Break- local style!

Spring Break is here!!! Instead of traveling somewhere we are spending the week getting ready for baby and spending time together. We hope to have a small getaway this summer as a family of four instead.

Monday- our first day of break, A. and I made some cut-out sugar cookies with Spring/Easter shapes!

Here she is proudly showing off her cookie (and I want to show off an adorable apron our camp friend, Sara made for A.)

Another part of our weekend was attending the girls state basketball game in Madison. This year our girls made it to state and won the first match. We returned on Saturday to watch the championship game (unlike Iowa, in Wisconsin only the top 4 teams per division goes to state). Anyway, when we attended the game on Sat we had these AWESOME seats... we were the first row behind the bench. I actually took this picture of a timeout from my seat without standing up!!! Andy and I felt it worth it to make the 2+ hour drive each way on both Fri and Sat because we have so many kids involved. The coach is one of my good friends and I wanted to support her too. Our girls played hard and at one point late in the game were just down by 4, but we just couldn't quite make it. Still- our girls won second which is awesome. Last year they made it to state and the year before they won first place! We have quite the tradition of basketball here.
This week A. and I have some playdates with friends, getting the house ready, taking some naps (I hope to do that as soon as I finish this post), and enjoying the 70 degree weather we are supposed to get on Thursday! Happy Spring Break!
