Basement Project

When we moved into our house I was so pleased with the basement. Not only do we have a large finished portion which includes a living room, bedroom, and bathroom, we also had a spacious unfinished section for storage. It didnt take long for the storage to start getting filled up- and it didnt take much longer to realize it was unorganized and impossible to get to the items I wanted without searching through multiple tubs or boxes. I dreamed of shelves- but Andy and I are just not people who have the tools to do it or the knowledge to make them. I was thankful my friend's husband could build them for us... in just 5 hours!

I think my teacher friends often wondered about my obsession with taking the paper-boxes home. I hope the above picture clarifies. Look how wonderful the boxes stack when they are all the same size! It is easy to find the size because I clearly labeled them. You may not believe that all of those boxes (minus 1) shown are boy clothing... I have clothes for D. up to 2T and he just turned 9 months on Sunday! I love hand-me-downs and now I love them even more because of how organized they are.
