The Greats

This was a fun week for us seeing family. The weekend of June 24th my grandparents came to visit us at our home. I am really excited that I could show them our house and community. Thankfully A. and D. were very well behaved and had a great time with their great-grandparents. In the past six years I have seen my grandparents once or twice a year for an eight hour segment. It was great spending Thursday-Sunday with them. Sometimes when A. has visitors she is extra-excited and can appear to be naughty. I was so pleased with how well she took to them- even great-grandpa's cane.

This week we also visited with Andy's aunt and cousins. Our children had never met their great-aunt from MN so it was fun to spend some time together. Our vacation to Breezy Point, MN was just 3-4 hours from where they live. Andy hadn't been up there since he was in 6th grade. I'll blog more about our vacation in future posts, but while in the area we went to the National Hockey Hall of Fame Museum, The Big Stick and the North American Bear Center. We enjoyed a nice dinner with the family and the long drive back to our resort went faster than expected. It helped that both children slept the whole drive home.
