One of the greatest parts of family vacations is the pool area. A. loves swimming and waterslides. We were relieved to discover that the waterslide was just the right size for A. to enjoy independently. We went down a few times together and I realized she would be able to hold herself upright in a sitting position to make it safely down the slide with us there to catch her. Climbing those stairs over and over again HAD to have worn her out!

D. did not want to miss out on the fun! He is again wearing his daddy's swim shorts- SO cute! He "played" in the kiddie pool and "swam" in the big pool with us on multiple days. I would have felt bad having him in the water for so long but he wasn't crying, was smiling, and was making fun sounds. Later on our vacation when the only option was an outdoor pool, we realized that he does expect a certain temperature for the water to be.

This is the view from the balcony of our condo. For some reason the temperature was always humid and felt like it was 90. It was great to have the pool so close that a few mornings A. and Daddy would take a quick dip before we started our day or we'd swim a little at night before bed. A. is learning how to be brave enough to walk in water 3 feet deep, jump from the ladder, and rarely but occasionally put her head under water.
Here is a video of A. enjoying the waterslide!!! I love hearing her screams and joy!
