We had the opportunity tonight to attend a performance of Jungle Book. It was presented by about 30 youth and performed specifically for children ages 2-8! We were able to sit on the floor and the dancing and singing animals surrounded us! One thing I loved about the set-up was that all the characters came out ahead of time and talked to the kids- it helped A. to not be afraid of the costumes and helped her be very excited to see the show! It was about 45 minutes long with an intermission half way through! There are two productions a year and we will definitely be returning. Though it was not cheap (nor necessarily expensive), for a live performance and considering how great it is for the actors and children watching- what a great thing to support! The set was amazing and you could tell they spent a lot of time- whether it be from the streamers being branches on the ceiling, to the trees to the costumes! We will definitely return!
One of our middle school students had a lead- as the head Elephant. A. wasn't quite sure what to think so I needed to be in the picture with her.

This picture below isn't one of my favorites, but A. is obsessed with the dancing monkeys so I had to put it on the blog!!
