Thursday, July 9 our daughter turns THREE! We celebrated her birthday a few days early when we had some family in town. She will be seeing her other grandparents on Sunday so I am sure she will be celebrating her birthday then too! I remember three years ago when we went out to dinner with 3 other couples as I was having contractions. I remember how nervous and excited I was and how amazed I was to see A. the first time! Here she is with her two cousins, enjoying the Mickey king-size cupcakes. Because her party just had two friends, we bought the three of them plates that they can use again and again. I think plates are an awesome party favor because they save the earth and are fun to use again and again by kids!
To make these, I bought king-size cupcake pan just because I thought it would be fun. She selected the devil's food cake mix. Then I put black frosting on them but covered them with Oreo crumbs. Then I placed one side of the cookie on the top as ears. It was simple and she enjoyed it. I feared she would make me use fondant for a Minnie bow but she seemed satisfied with the cupcakes.
YUM
Looking back-
Here we are two nights before she was born.
She was so little and is such an amazing gift from God!
