Our Three Year Old girl on her REAL birthday!
Watching a show before our fun day began!
Daddy planned to take the middle school youth group kids to 6 flags on A's 3rd birthday. When Daddy found a free teacher ticket and discovered that 2 year olds were free, we decided we HAD to go too! (plus he needed one more driver!) Anyway, at 9:45 she passed through the gates as a free 2 year old, and at 11:51am she turned 3!
Being that she is 37 inches tall she was able to go on some additional rides- including a roller coaster that she could go on with Daddy and I. We also went with all the kids and leaders on the raging river like ride where you ride in a massive tube that fits 12 people and everyone gets drenched (see before and after pics!) Thankfully we told the older kids to make sure and have fun with this and she will enjoy it too. Every time people got wet they would clap and cheer so even though occasionally she seemed a little concerned, she would sort of clap along too. There was a free waterpark attached but due to time we did not get over to that location.
Here she is waiting for the train to come... unfortunately we waited twenty minutes only to discover it was broken...
This is an amazing view from a lookout tower-like ride. It rotated around and all of us enjoyed it!
As always, she loves the carousel. This 6 Flags has a double decker carousel!
After lunch we had to wait in line for the raging river ride- she got in a bit of a nap!
Here we are dry and excited for the ride...
Here we are fully drenched and kind of all smiles!
We loved the Wiggles World even though she has never really watched the Wiggles
There was also a dance party time- I told her she should go up there and dance with them and she just got up, walked up to Shaggy (from Scooby Doo), grabbed his hand, and danced with him! Of course my batteries died and i was SO bummed!
Overall, she was wiped out and had such a great day!
*A. is currently spending the week with Andy's parents. They met us at the Dells and she spent some time there. Then she is spending some time at their house and playing with Grandma's daycare kids. This coming weekend she will be heading to Des Moines to experience Adventureland. I will meet her on Sunday. She has had quite the summer and still has VBS to look forward to!
