California Youth Leadership Conference

This past week, Andy has been really suffering... he and another adult took a total of six juniors and seniors in high school to a leadership conference at Saddleback Church in California. They flew out Monday morning and returned Saturday afternoon. Though the actual conference filled the days, they were able to squeeze in a little time to visit Laguna Beach. The weather was ideal for them and thankfully the flights and traffic wasn't too bad. I think the kids had a great opportunity to experience worship in perhaps a different style then we see weekly at our church. They were also challenged with a project- Kingdom Assignment Project. Apparently if $500 is pledged Andy will dye his hair pink... yay! :)

While there, A. was visiting G&G Baker. She enjoyed a Dells waterpark, tumble bus, and Adventureland (an amusement park in IA). I enjoyed a chance to do some scrapbooking, as well as getting some items on my to-do list crossed off. I traveled to Iowa on the weekend to attend a wedding, bridal shower, and bachlorette party. Thankfully A. was a great traveler as we drove the 7-8 hour trip back home. The reunion was wonderful!
