Kindergarten Christmas Program!

A. was so excited about her school program- for Thursday Dec 20.  Too bad the snow didnt seem to understand and caused a snow day for most of Iowa!  I (Mom) was actually quite happy about this because by moving it to Friday, I was able to attend the 1:45pm program- 30 miles from where I work.  Because of Christmas, school was dismissed at 2 and with my prep period being the end of the day, I was able to ask permission of my principal to leave school early to watch her program!!!  (Who schedules these 15 minute programs at 1:45 anyway??)
So- I made it in plenty of time, got 2nd row seats with Dad, and snapped lots of pics- including this one with her amazing teacher, Mrs. H.

Here is Mommy and Daddy with her in her classroom after the program!  We were so proud of our girl- all the actions and singing!
After the program we drove to Des Moines to celebrate my birthday on the 22nd!  On Saturday we stopped at Bass Pro Shop and had this picture taken (too bad it showed up on here sideways- just tilt your head a bit, you'll be okay!)
As you can see, D. is NOT crying and may be smiling just a bit!
Here is a clip of her program- the last song- singing Jingle Bells!  The program was to be held in the commons with 3 other kindergarten classes, but because of the snow day we just had hers in her room. The kids made a long line of 18 kids and the songs/poems often turned into more of a round type of effect- listen- you'll see!  :)
