Tired of the Cold- HELP!
Tonight I called a friend on my way home, hoping to get some ideas on what to do in the winter with a toddler. (What was I thinking asking a Dallas Tx girl???) We are a walking/park type family. When we have some free time we automatically look out the window and determine if we can go for a walk. With the 20 degree Wisconsin weather, walks still look far away! What ideas are out there for family activities with a 2 year old? We have done baking/cooking, water colors, finger painting, readingReadingREADING, playing house or doctor... With her 20 min attention span it seems we just do lots of things. What else? Thankfully, today A. got her magazine in the mail today. Nana and Papa Monroe got her a subscription to Turtle.
We love it! It has 35 pages of pictures, stories, things to do, and pictures of children! It only comes 6 times a year which is a little bit of a bummer. I thought about only doing a few stories a day, but we read the whole thing. You can tell she thinks she is pretty special getting her own magazine.
On a proud note- I think we can safely say that A. is potty trained. I no longer keep track when the last accident occurred. Even more surprising- she has slept nine consecutive nights wearing undies and staying dry-Im not sure how many nights she had dry pull-ups. Goodbye pull-ups! I still carry a ziploc bag and spare pair of undies in my purse. Perhaps I can move them to the car glove compartment at least!

I wish I had some more suggestions, but it sounds like you have done it all! And way to go on the potty training!
Hey, email me. I have a story to tell you but I am not sure if the baker0717@ayhoo.com is you. I don't want to type it up until I am sure it is you.
