Graduating... to a Big Girl Bed!

(Please note: A. just happened to discover Daddy's graduation hat this weekend and I thought- how perfect for today's blog! I assure you I did not force her to wear the "cap" to create the theme of graduating from the crib!!!)
Big News at the Bakers! After a weekend of no naps (or at least declaring she must take naps on the floor yet still never sleep), A. has decided to graduate from the crib to the big girl bed. Monday she screamed as we put her to bed. Normally she giggles with glee as she finds her pacifier. Daddy and I decided she could sleep on the mattress on the floor. I had to go in and comfort her a few times but she fell asleep and slept until around 8am. She did end up on the floor (hopefully her own choosing). Tuesday night we still didn't have the toddler bed so we had her sleep on the floor but she wanted the mattress. Again, she slept until about 8. We are hoping she believes she must wait until we come get her before she can leave her room. We'll see how long that lasts!!! So tonight- Wednesday night, the toddler bed is set up. Tonight we will see if she wants to sleep in a REAL Big Girl Bed. I have had the bug to put her in a toddler bed for awhile but just couldn't find any reason to since she wasn't climbing out and was sleeping so well. Our girl makes her own decisions sometimes. She chose to potty train and when she does have accidents I am usually unprepared because I don't expect them anymore. Now she is choosing to sleep in the big girl bed. Im proud of her- but our little baby is growing up. Here is a picture of her when she was less than a week old and we were about to go to the pediatrician for the first time. (I LOVE this little outfit!)

Here is her room- The door is just a second closet in her room where we store all of her baby clothes and our Christmas Tree. I was afraid of the green walls at first but it turned out really well. I love green and lavender together!!!
Goodnight, Beautiful A. We love you. Sweet Dreams...

We had that same bed--in fact, we had two, side by side.
