Four Generations of Monroes

The Monroe Family: In Attendance 4/4 sons + wives, 8/11 granddaughters, 4/11 great-grandchildren, his sister, and his sister in law. I hope he had a WONDERFUL birthday!
Here is my grandpa blowing out his candles. We just put 8 on two cakes (88).

Here are my cousins. Me, my sister, Sarah, Jackie, Wendy, Jill, Jody. Katie was also here but had to leave early.

I mentioned it on a previous post but now I have the pictures!

After pictures we watched a DVD entitled, "The Legacy of Hoyt and Cathie Monroe" I know it made some of us pretty emotional seeing pictures of my Grandma and reading a letter she wrote on their 50th anniversary. Grandma died in 2001 and it is still hard on us. I am thankful my daughter has gotten to know her Great-Grandpa Monroe, Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Ray, as well her Papas and Gagas! (I hope she will come up with a better name for Grandmas someday). Overall- what a weekend. And we made the 850 mile round trip without complications. I have a good little passenger who even wants to hold the map and point straight ahead to tell me where to go!
