Winter Fun

Oh what a winter we have had!  It has actually been fairly decent weather-  but the past two weeks we've had two snow storms and it sounds like another one is supposed to hit Monday night.  My school actually had snow days Tue, Wed and Thur this week.  At this rate our last day of school is June 11 for teachers!

Anyway, today the kids and I went to the park for a bit of fun.  I was pleased with some great pictures I captured as well as some fun video!
 D. loved swinging and kept wanting me to push him higher.  Yes- he does have mismatched gloves... it seems to be a common situation in our house.
I love the depth this picture shows with snow in the background- the way the shadows and you can even see the footprints and the trees.  He had so much fun leaning back and just laughing as he swung!
The pics of D. were turning out so well I asked A. to swing so I could capture some of her as well.  I kind of like how I edited this pic with the lighting- she is so bright and colorful against the winter scene.
Oh that smile lights up my day!
Im attempting to lay down to take this picture- it sort of worked.

We also had fun putting snow on the slides and going down SUPER-FAST!  Here are two videos of our fun.  I can't believe I am posting the one of me but its part of our day!  :)  D. went down a few times and then decided it was just a little too fast for him.

Now that we've had our fun in the snow- I am hoping it can melt.

A few weeks ago the kids and I headed to MN to see cousins.  Here is a picture of us the day we went sledding (while we waited for the paint to dry in the guest bedroom and master bedroom- a fun but productive weekend for sure!!!)  There wasn't a lot of snow on the ground- but it was icy and fun!  D. even went down a few times alone!

Here is a group shot of us!!  (Without my sis)

I was afraid D. would be afraid (it was FAST) but instead our ride down was spent laughing and screaming!
He INSISTED on riding in his own sled so I usually tried to hold his next to mine so I could try and steer.
