For the past 3+ months we have continued to cloth diaper. I am finally at the point where I have a system down with school starting. I wash the stash Wednesdays and Sundays. It has been neat to see a friend of mine purchase some cloth diapers after watching my son for a day and seeing how great they are (cost-effective, cute, environmentally friendly...) I am hopeful that she will be as happy with the decision as I am. Another friend has asked about them multiple times so we'll see if she purchases them too. For my own knowledge- and for anyone thinking about cd'ing themselves... here is what works for us:
13 sunbaby diapers- Pocket diapers (financially smartest!)
1 Tots Bots All-in-One
1 Fuzzibunz perfect fit (M)
1 Happy Heiney's pocket diaper
1 Flip cover
4 Flip inserts
3 Thirsties wraps
2 prefold diapers (folded into wraps in a pinch or added to diapers at night)
I also love and recommend Planetwise wet/dry bags. When zipped I never deal with a bad smell.
It amazes me that the above purchases will supposedly last until he is potty-trained! I am hopeful most of them fit until that age.
***On that note- D. used the potty to poop all weekend- never had a stinky diaper. I know this isnt a sign that he will potty-train easily or early... but I believe that if he is comfortable sitting on a potty- it has to make things easier when the time comes, right??
