D is 17 months!

Yesterday our little boy turned 17 months! It just amazes us how he is NOT a baby anymore.  This little guy seems to do whatever it takes to get what it is he wants.  If he desires Nilla Wafers in the cabinent- he will open the door, take out the box, and start eating.  If he wants a bowl of cereal, he will carry around a bowl until someone fills it.   If he wants a glass of milk, he will fuss until he is followed into the kitchen so he can point to the cupboard and then the fridge.  If he wants to go outside and play, he will find his shoes, bring them to us, and assumes we will get him outside somehow!  If he wants his pacifier... he will climb, he will run, he will pull blankets out of the crib in hopes of pulling the pacifier with it...  he will find a way to make it happen... usually.
If you saw this smile would you be able to tell him no??

And when he doesn't get what he wants...  he'll let you know his disappointment.  Of course, he doesn't always get what he wants... so this look (and the sounds that go with it) do occur in our house quite frequently.
We are SO thankful for this bundle of joy.  He truly completes our family and it seems strange to me that I lived 29 years of my life without him.
