Every year in August, the local fire department comes and brings their trucks, lots of water, and tons of fun for the middle school youth group. This year the weather was actually hot and perfect for the activity. A. invited her friend. I had told the girls this was for big kids only so we didnt bring swimsuits or towels. After noticing lots of little siblings were joining in the fun I gave the go-ahead to get real wet- including climbing in the pool.
Next week is giant slip and slide- using hay wrapping stuff down a hill on a farm. Last year I wanted to but was prego. I would enjoy it this year but hesitate doing it with future/past students. We'll see...
