What better way to start Mother's Day...
I fed D. and put him to bed at 1030pm. His gift to me was not waking up until 5am! Thanks, Son!
This morning we went to church and A. and her Sunday School friends sang a special song for their Moms. Enjoy!
We were able to celebrate Mother's Day with Andy's parents. This is the first time they were able to meet D. It is so nice having family here and seeing our children interact with their grandparents. I was hoping the weather was warmer so we could go for more walks but at least the sun was shining. For lunch today we enjoyed a nice family brunch so no one had to be in the kitchen or mess with dishes.
D. also had his first trip to church today. He was quite content during the service though I did have to take him out for about five minutes.
As with many things- parenting has joys and frustrations. I am thankful for all the support I have of family and friends when I become overwhelmed or exhausted. I am so thankful to have grown up in the home I did and hope that I can be the kind of mother that I have. Thanks Mom and Dottie for raising Andy and I. You are awesome grandmas- we love you!
