As of Saturday, May 1, D. had a belly button without the umbilical cord stump stuck on it! He could finally be submerged in a real bath! A. became VERY excited about his belly button and ran around the living room screaming and clapping that he has a belly button!
As is tradition, the first bath was taken in a duck tub. A. had her bath in the same tub and Mommy and Aunt Manda did to 30+ years ago!
As you can see, D. was not the happiest while taking the bath.
But the cuddly after-bath pictures are awfully cute! (Thanks Herrons for the Frog towel)
Big sister was a great help during bath and was also my photographer for many of the pictures!

Congratulations your beautiful baby!!
And thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. I love having lilacs around. Their fragrance lingers into every room of the house. I don't really have a trick for keeping them. I cut them last week, stuck them in water and just had to throw them out today. I don't think they last much longer than a few days to a week. I just try to make sure I have a nice smooth angled cut at the stem but that's the only "tip." :D
blessings!
Cute pics :)
