28 weeks!

It wasn't that long ago that I remember holding a little poppyseed in my hand, and lovingly, excitedly telling my husband, "This is the size of our little baby!" 20+ weeks have gone by and now I am in the third trimester. I am so grateful for the smoothness of this pregnancy and amazed how God has formed him- the beating heart, the lungs, fingertips, and each strand of hair! A. continues to be excited for her baby brother to come. Above is a picture of her giving her brother kisses. She makes sure he receives enough hugs, kisses, and pats throughout the day- by her, Daddy, and Mommy!
Someone commented today and I have to agree- that her hair seems to be getting a little darker every day. I wonder if this summer the reds will start to come through again!
This is my FAVORITE polka-dot shirt! I wore it while pregnant with A. and wear it now even though its freezing temperatures outside! Here I am at 28- almost 29 weeks!
Today I purchased some adorable onesies and matching pants. I also picked up a 50 count package of diapers (though I am still really interested in the concept of cloth diapers but worry that financially it will be the same cost once you account for all the washing, and I worry about just one more added stress in an already intense time. I figured I would for sure start with disposable ones for those first few ucky diapers!) We continue to look for the perfect blanket that A. can give to him- as her blanket is such a prized possession as well!

ENJOY:

Today Andy preached in church. Thankfully our daughter was quiet, somewhat paid attention, and enjoyed snacking on her bag of cereal during the service. It amazes me that my husband can not only speak in front of a large group of people (and all ages) but he even memorizes his entire message! I am comfortable in my own classroom- for the most part I do not use notes but it isn't that I memorized a 25 minute message either! When asked to speak in front of a group of adults I get nervous. Andy has a way with sharing the message, making it connect with the youth, the younger adults, and the people who have grown grandchildren. Today he talked about Corinthians 13- how often we hear it at weddings but today we learned why it was that Paul wrote it. He speaks to the congregation- connecting with them and providing them a viewpoint that perhaps they had never considered. Perhaps it is just because he is my husband, but it really seems to me that his preaching is a God-given gift and I am grateful for his willingness to serve in this area. Our service is now broadcasted on cable tv four times a week (one more thing that would add to my nervousness)! It isn't on the internet so you will just have to come visit on a preaching Sunday if you want to hear him!

Andrea,

I LOVE the picture of A kissing her brother (1st picture)! I have never seen such a sweet, sweet picture! That could win a photographic award, in my opinion.

I also enjoyed the short video.

Love, Mom

Wow! I'm impressed with Andy's memorization skills. 25 minutes is a lot of material. Interestingly enough, that particular passage of Corinthians was one of our readings today, too.
