We had a wonderful extended Thanksgiving weekend with Andy's parents. They made the 8-9 hour drive and arrived at our house by 6pm on Wednesday. They were greeted by A.'s many plans- she had to show them how she puts a puzzle together, can "read" a book, the pictures she drew for them, and many other things she has waited since August to show them. It is wonderful having family closer than when we lived in New Jersey, but 8 hours of driving each way is still a very long trip!
One thing we enjoyed for the first time was attending a holiday parade on Friday night. It was cold but thankfully we were pretty well dressed for the weather. A. was able to wear her new winter coat, snow pants, and some boots! We set our blanket on the curb and an hour later were happy to find that it was still there. A. loved seeing all the floats, dancing to the music, and of course receiving some candy. We were proud of what a good girl she was. She fell asleep on the way home and went right to bed.
