Home remodeling...

Well- I wasn't sure if I could call it remodeling, or updating, or home improvement. Thankfully we moved into a house that was truly move-in-ready about 18 months ago. Since that time I have been really enjoying the opportunity to add some paint, curtains, and other fun additions.Before... (I am amazed at the great deal we got on the comforter. There are great sales after the college kids have picked over everything and the stores want it out of their inventory!) I love the bed- its my great-great grandma's (or something like that!). I was nervous about mixing contemporary and traditional. I think it worked... what do you think?

We have now added some paint in the following rooms:
A.'s bedroom (pale minty green)
Dining room (beige)
Living room (same beige and light blue)
Laundry room (yellow)
Master bedroom (1 wall of burgundy)
Basement (walls of navy, light blue, brown)
Kitchen (sage green)
Guest bedroom (2 browns and purple circles!) (Notice the 3D aspect too...)

I think I am content for awhile. Some day I would like to do something with the bathroom on the main floor or the guest bathroom downstairs. Now that I write that, I realize that basically every other room now has paint. We could paint our hallways a different color too! I just can't get over how fun it is to have color and though the decision making is challenging, the finished product is so satisfying!

*I forgot to add that I did not paint the kitchen myself or the most recently completed guest bedroom. A friend of mine is starting a home-staging business and needed someone to volunteer some rooms to have made-over. Of course I gladly said yes! In the guest room she painted the walls and I bravely painted the circles. I may add more circles to the canvas pictures later!
