Cold October at Pumpkin Farm

(Mommy should have dressed her for the cold weather. My focus was shoes that could get muddy- I wish I could tell you she had on invisible socks!!!)
A. and her three friends! The DJs are neighbors and we enjoy spending time together!
A. and her friend W. This little guy is the one who she ha the famous kissing cousins picture wearing the Dutch costumes. Its also the friend who one Sunday she kept moving up and down the stairs during the children's moment because he would move up or down a step and sit right next to her. She told me later that, "W. was bothering me." We discovered later his dad told him to sit right by A. He was just doing what he was told. How was his dad to know she would keep changing seats!

A tradition that we enjoy is making a trip to a pumpkin farm. The farm we visited in Princeton sold amazing gooey, caramel apples covered in Reese's pieces. They also served hot donuts that tasted like apple cider! This farm in Wisconsin has a hay maze that is just the right size for children since there is only one route to take. They have a hay ride to go pick up the pumpkins (even if the ground is so muddy you are afraid the tractor might get stuck!) and of course they have plenty of red wagons to select pumpkins that are JUST RIGHT.

It was a very cold Saturday morning activity but I was glad we could fit it in!
