Today was a wonderful day! Our family made a trip to the doctor's office so we could listen to the Baby's heartbeat!!! What an amazing miracle- a heart is beating in my tummy! I was nervous that perhaps we wouldn't be able to hear but it was strong and consistent!
Little A. was able to hear- we had been talking about it for awhile and I think she sort of expected something more than just the murmer sound
Baby Baker will be joining our family approximately April 22. I was originally supposed to be a senior class advisor this year- but considering the majority of my responsibilities would have been in May and June, I felt it best to resign. Next year I will be the senior class advisor to the students who I had as freshmen my first year in Wisconsin. My plan is to teach as close to the day of going into labor as I can. I will then be able to take the last six weeks or so of school off. With A. I was able to stay home with her 2 days short of 3 months. With this little one I will be able to be home for about 4.5 months before returning in the fall. Thankfully the first trimester was a smooth one. I really hope that after this pregnancy I can again confidently say how much I LOVE being pregnant! I love knowing my little one is growing each day inside of me (currently the size of a medium lemon!!) I pray for a healthy baby- and hopefully a smooth pregnancy.
One story I really love is one evening we were singing songs and "Hes Got the Whole World in His Hands." When the song got to the part about "He's got the Little Bitty Baby" she came running over, touching my tummy, and sang "He's got the itty bitty baby, in His hands!" She has made it her job to make sure Daddy kisses and hugs Baby before leaving for work. She currently says she wants a sister but I am sure she will be happy with either! I am sure I will write so much more later!
