Easter 2014

He is Risen!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend- family came to visit, everyone was healthy, and the weather was BEAUTIFUL!
Our son's 4th birthday is just days away so that will be an upcoming post as well!  :)
Saturday morning we went to an annual Easter Egg Hunt in town.  D's age group was the 3-4 year olds and it seemed many of the children were unsure of what to do- but D. got out there and started picking up LOTS of eggs.  In some of the eggs were pieces of paper saying what big prize they had won...  D. won 4!  We won an Elmo, a scoot and sit tractor, some guppy thing, and a pizza coupon.  A. won a horse/barn toy.  It was beautiful weather and we had so much fun!
The Easter service has been in the minds of those planning it for months.  Above is an awesome box and lit up this morning.  We also had intelligent lighting and some great praise songs.  It was a great service!  Below is a weaving loom thing our congretation has been working on all during lent.  After each service, we were asked to take a ribbon/strip of fabric to write how the sermon made us thing. Each week we watched as the colors were added.  This morning the grey crosses were changed to white (my daughter saw that!)

Andy's parents came to visit this weekend.  They surprised me with this beautiful, delicate bouquet of flowers for Easter!  :)  Love them!
 A. was really wanting us to dye eggs this year- she says we never have (oops!)  It was fun!  We did it with Grandma.  We also made some Jello eggs using molds my mom gave us.  They tasted better than they looked!
Saturday before Easter was just SO beautiful.  We decided to go on a walk out at a state park near us.  This is a great path along the lake and the weather was simply spectacular.  We will be going out there again sometime!
Here is a pic of our sweet kiddos during our family Sunday School Class.  (Easter morning the whole family has SS together- LOVE IT!)  This morning was a busy morning with our 2 services (my praise band sang in both).  I also joined the church by transferring membership from WI.
We we are at brunch... I think this is when Grandma took pics of the kids being goofy and then they wanted to see how they looked!  :)
Our family picture of all 7 of us!
Grandma and Grandpa, and the grandkids
D being goofy... and looking like he's in jail!

The wind was certainly blowing here...
The wind is worse here on this pic!
A nice pic of our family of 5!
Andy and Ty looking nice in their blazers!
 My kiddos- posing and smiling!
And finally when we returned from lunch at about 2pm, we had our annual Baker Family Easter egg hunt.  This year I even put some dimes in them!  :)  The weather is simply beautiful!
After Grandma and Grandpa left to drive home we took a family bike ride.  We certainly went farther than we should have and we tired one of us out quite a bit.  Its almost 6pm and my glorious 3 day weekend is coming to an end.  I believe we have about 30 more days of school (Im not counting... Id rather not count!)

We hope your family also had an incredible Easter- spending time with family and celebrating the Rising Christ!
