Iowa

Ahh, Iowa.
This weekend we ventured to Iowa to celebrate my ten year class reunion! I was excited that many people were able to attend. We had a get together Friday night, rode on a float in a parade on Saturday, and then had a family picnic at a park on Saturday evening. I enjoyed watching our children play together and am amazed at how many of us have children and the various ages they are.
Saturday evening we traveled to Andy's hometown so he could preach at his parent's church Sunday morning. They were having an outdoor worship service and Andy was invited to preach at it. He did a wonderful job, as always. I find it interesting that if you put me in a classroom I can comfortably teach the math you put in front of me. Yet, put me in front of a group of adults and I become very nervous and talk fast. I do not understand how my husband can talk in front of 400-600 people and appear so comfortable! I am not sure how he can memorize his messages either. Anyway, the sprinkles started coming down but they soon went away and the service was very meaningful.

While with Andy's parents we attended an evening band concert in a parade, saw UP in 3D, and enjoyed some time at the park. I took LOTS of pics but you will have to wait for me to get home before I can upload them.

Tomorrow we are headed to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul for any Jersey people reading this!) where we will enjoy the free Como Zoo, Mall of America, and hopefully meet Dora the Explorer at the Nickelodean Park in the MOA. I am praying for safe travel as we have a lot of driving to do the next few days.

Poor Andy, on vacation, and he still can't catch a break! :)
